Group session - £49 (£25 for each additional sibling)
Booking a group session gives you a half hour portrait experience in the pool with one of our fabulous photographers.
A qualified swim teacher will always be present to place your baby or child for a variety of shots, and we’ll aim to capture 8-10 images during the session. Towards the end of the session you can also have a few photographs with your baby, and siblings if you wish. (Please note that for siblings to participate in the full shoot, spaces must be booked for each child).
Sessions have a maximum of 5 babies/children allowing them to be photographed in rotation without becoming tired.
After your shoot, you will be given login details to access your photos online within 72 hours. Images are then available to order as high quality, hand-assessed prints, digital files, or other product options.
Private Session - £199
A private underwater portrait session gives you exclusive time with your photographer for half and hour of shooting.
These sessions are useful if you have a large family of siblings who would also like to participate in our unique shoots, or if you would like to try some different poses.
We will provide a swimming teacher for these sessions to place your baby or child for the perfect shots.

Preparing for a shoot

- Before booking onto a photo shoot session, your should ensure that your baby is comfortable in the water and must be fit enough (ie. have sufficient respiratory strength) to complete a minimum of 4 FREE submersions (letting go of baby briefly underwater) in a half hour period. We reserve the right to cut the session short if we feel that your baby is not capable of this. If you have any concerns regarding your baby’s fitness, please call us on 01276 502515.
You can prepare for the shoot by booking onto a swim program in your area, or by following 'Waterbabies' the acclaimed educational DVD, which will take you through the program step-by-step. You should allow at least 6-8 weeks to follow the program (based on swimming 2 times per week). See www.littledippersfilms.co.uk for information and to buy the DVD.
- Allow sufficient time before the shoot to get changed and for your baby to get used to the surroundings. At least one adult needs to be in the water per child so don’t forget to bring your swimming things.
- Both parents are welcome to participate in the shoot. Siblings that do not have an allocated space are able to be included in the last 2 shots but must be supervised on the poolside until we are ready for them. If you would like a sibling to take part fully in the shoot, please book a separate space for them.
- Think about what you and your baby will be wearing for the shoot. These are images that you will want to treasure for many years so it is worth investing in something special.
- Babies look naturally graceful underwater but as we get older, it is harder to look good! If possible, parents and children should practise underwater – remember, don’t blow bubbles, open your eyes, and relax!
- Child Protection Policy: Babies and children should be photographed wearing some form of swimwear/outfit. At some locations, at your discretion, we are able photograph younger babies unclothed. We would advise you though this is done at your responsibility and that these images may be deleted if deemed unsuitable for viewing.
- According to NHS guidelines, there is no reason to wait until baby has been immunised before attending swimming classes or photo shoots. For further information, please visit the NHS Website.
